10 Great Shows on Netflix

I’m sure I wasn’t the only person heartbroken when Friends was taken off of Netflix. I’m still able to watch it elsewhere, but let’s face it Netflix is super convenient. The departure of my favourite show got me thinking about other great shows on Netflix, and in light of recent events I decided now would be a great time to compile a list of my favourites. So here goes.

  1. Gilmore Girls – This is probably my second favourite TV show ever. It’s easy to watch, heartfelt, and good fun.
  2. The Ranch – A bit of a guilty pleasure, it’s funny, generally lighthearted, and easy to follow. It does contain some strong language, and appeals to a particular sense of humour, so may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
  3. Somebody Feed Phil – A really interesting watch if you’re interested in foods from different countries. I find other cultures fascinating, I also love food, so this is a win win!
  4. You – Creepy, yet addictive. Not necessarily believable, but enjoyable none-the-less.
  5. The Good Place – I really enjoyed the big twist in this show. It’s an interesting idea, and overall an enjoyable watch.
  6. The Office – I took some convincing on this one, James and I actually tried watching it a few times before we got into it. It’s funny, lighthearted, and easy to watch when you’re tired or not in the mood to concentrate much.
  7. Queer Eye – I don’t know if it’s possible not to love this show. It’s wonderful to see people gain confidence in themselves. It’s got snippets of humour, beauty and fashion tips, and is generally upbeat and fun to watch.
  8. Orange is the New Black – I find it really gets me thinking about what life in prison must be like. It’s packed full of drama, and plot twists, I didn’t expect to like it but I do.
  9. The Great British Baking Show (The Great British Bake Off)- The Brit in me feels obligated to recommend this one, but if you enjoy baking, this is a must watch.
  10. Tidying Up – If like me, you enjoy being nosey, seeing how other people live, and also find cleaning/organising interesting, you’ll love this. A small warning though, you will want to clear your house out after watching.
